What's Happening, North Georgia? February Edition

There’s always something happening in North Georgia, and February is no exception!

From festive celebrations to local markets and outdoor adventures, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re a longtime resident or just visiting, these events are a great way to experience the charm and energy of our communities.

Here are some of our favorite upcoming events this month—mark your calendar and join in on the fun!

 

Feb 1 (Sat), 10:30-11:30 AM, Kids Corner Lenticular Art

Reeves House Studio @ Woodstock Arts, Woodstock, GA

Young artists, come explore the “TERMS & CONDITIONS” exhibit at the Reeves House and try your hand at artist Anna Noel’s Lenticular Art method to achieve a cool double image in your art!

Registration is $10 per person. Children under 6 should be accompanied by an adult (adults only need to register and pay if they want to make the craft too).

Feb 8 (Sat), 6 – 9 PM, Briskets & Bourbon: Yellowstone Date Night

Northern Roots Farm, Jasper, GA

Saddle up for an unforgettable evening inspired by the rugged charm of Yellowstone!

Feb 13 (Thur), 6:30 PM, Love Sweet Love: Cookie Decorating Class

Six-O-Eight Venue, Rome, GA

You’ll leave class with a set of beautifully decorated cookies, a solid understanding of the basics of sugar cookie decorating, Sugar Cookie Decorating 101, and a sweet party gift from me to you!

Feb 14 (Fri), 12-5 PM, Chocolate and Wine Pairings

Fainting Goats Vineyard, Jasper, GA

6-wine flight served in adorable chocolate shooters. No reservations required.

Feb 15 (Sat), 9-11 AM, FREE “We love you a Latte” Client and Friend Appreciation Event

Red Bean Coffee, Downtown Jasper, GA

Drop by and enjoy a free coffee, live barbershop quartet with singing valentines, and other surprises and treats, courtesy of us here at the Padgett & Co Real Estate Team!

 

Feb 15 (Sat), 12-5 PM, Fire & Ice Chili Cook Off & Craft Beer Festival

Downtown Blue Ridge, GA

Mark your calendars for live music, ice sculptures, amazing chili, and craft beer! Tasting cards are $10. Chili tasting will begin at noon and go until the chili is gone! Music will go from noon to 4 pm. Awards ceremony begins at 4pm.

Feb 15 (Sat), 11-5 PM, Chocolate Walk

Downtown Canton, GA

It's the sweetest event of the year! The Downtown Canton Chocolate Walk is coming up. Get to know our Downtown businesses and enjoy some sweet treats! Check in at the Jones Building.

Feb 19 (Weds), 12:15 PM, Lunch & Learn: Becoming a Dinosaur

Tellus Museum, Cartersville, GA

Dig into the design process with Prehistoric Nation creators! Hear inspiring stories and discover how they craft the costumes that bring these prehistoric characters to “life”.

Learn about artistry, creativity, and puppetry. See the behind-the-scenes action and engage with the imagination that fuels this incredible project.

Feb 22 (SAT), 10 AM – 2 PM, Customer Appreciation Day    

Mercier Orchards, Blue Ridge, GA

Here at Mercier Orchards, we are SO thankful for each and every one of our customers. Every year in February (usually around Adele’s birthday) we hold “Customer Appreciation Day.” It’s our way of saying thank you to everyone who supports us and helps keep us moving forward!
